Tamir, teachers union head to make final effort to prevent strike

Education Minister Yuli Tamir and the head of the Secondary School Teachers Organization (SSTO) will meet on Friday in a last-ditch attempt to forestall a teachers' strike. The high school teachers have threatened to resume their strike after Succot if their demands are not met.
