Thousands of Israelis honor Georgian war casualties in Tel-Aviv promenade

Thousands of pro-Georgian Israelis demonstrated Thursday evening at the Tel-Aviv promenade expressing solidarity with the Georgian people and honoring the memory of Georgians killed in the war with Russia. The demonstrators created a human chain beginning in Allenby Street, linking hands along the promenade and standing in front of foreign embassies, including the American and French embassies. The demonstrators called on Western powers to stand by Georgia. France is currently serving as President of the European Union.
