Three people were arrested for trying to extort 25 million shekels from the "Ribuah Hakahol" supermarket retail chain, police announced Thursday.
According to the allegations, a supermarket employee noticed a sanitary fault in a meat container and informed two other people who then approached the owners of the retail chain, threatening to publicize the information unless the owners paid them the large sum of money.
The Health Ministry has since been informed about the fault.
