Three people suspected of running human trafficking ring in Tel Aviv

Three persons - a 47-year-old man, his 23-year-old girlfriend and a 34-year-old-man - all from Tel Aviv were brought before the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court Tuesday morning, according to a police report. The three are suspected, along with others, of running a human trafficking ring for the purpose of prostitution for the past few months, bringing in women from the Ukraine. Two young women in their 20s claim that for months, they were employed as prostitutes. Their 'pimps' would allegedly call them and arrange meetings with clients in hotels in Tel Aviv. Out of the NIS 800 paid by the client, the 'pimp' would pay the young woman NIS 50, pocketing the rest, the women told police. Each woman was forced to pay $1000 for her trip to Israel.
