Three Israeli soldiers were lightly injured Wednesday night when their bus was stoned in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya, police said. One of the soldiers fired two warning shots in the air, and the attackers fled the scene, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. The bus was carrying soldiers from an air force technical school. The Arab neighborhood abuts the northern Jerusalem neighborhood of French Hill and Mount Scopus.
