A 20-year-old Tiberias resident was arrested Friday on suspicion of arson after he allegedly set palm trees on fire in the northern city.
In one of the cases, the blaze damaged a nearby building. In his investigation the suspect claimed the act was a "prank".
Police requested that the suspected arsonist's remand be extended, Israel Radio reported.
