Tira man arrested after he allegedly tries to run over police officers

Glilot police arrested a 21-year-old Tira resident in Herzliya on Thursday after he allegedly tried to cross intersections at red lights and attempted to run over police officers who demanded he pull over on the city's Jerusalem Street. Police said the man smelled of alcohol.
The man was set to be brought before the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court for a remand extension hearing later Thursday.
