Two Kassams fired from northern Gaza Strip

Palestinians fired two Kassam rockets from the northern Gaza Strip early Sunday afternoon. One of the rockets landed in an open territory near Ashkelon. No casualties were reported. The other rocket did not reach Israeli territory. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the rocket attack. Earlier Sunday, Palestinians fired a Kassam into Israel which landed in open territory near a Negev Kibbutz.
