Two dogs infected with rabies were discovered in the northern part of the Golan Heights and were put to death by veterinary service officials on Thursday afternoon, Army Radio reported.
The dogs, apparently not owned by anyone, had crossed into Israel from the northern border.
The public has been asked not to release dogs from their leashes and to report stray animals to local authorities.
