UK minister of higher education opposes boycott

Britain's Minister of Higher Education, Bill Rammel, voiced on Sunday strong opposition to the boycott resolution passed recently by the UK's University and College Union. Speaking at a meeting with the press and students at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Rammell said that a boycott was "fundamentally wrong," and that he hoped his visit sent a "a strong message of the views of the British government and people" in rejection of the concept of a boycott of Israeli higher educational institutions and academics.
