US Ambassador to Israel Richard Jones on Tuesday expressed optimism regarding the chances for a deal at the upcoming Annapolis conference.
"I am more hopeful now then in any other moment in my tenure that the sides can reach an agreement," Jones said at a symposium of law enforcement experts from both Israel and the United States.
Later, referring to past disappointments in the peace process, Jones added that "people are tired of empty commitments and unfulfilled promises."
