University students to renew fight against tuition hikes

University students announced Thursday evening that they will renew their struggle against the Treasury next Sunday, in protest of the rise in tuition fees and the state of the higher education system in Israel.
On Sunday a special government committee will discuss implementation of the Shochat Committee's recommendations. Education Minister Yuli Tamir will present a report on the issue.
The student unions, which are against the implementation of the committee's recommendations, requested to be present at the meeting, but were refused.
