Labor MK Matan Vilnai said on Saturday that an IDF ground invasion of Gaza could not be ruled out. Friday night, the army resumed artillery fire on Kassam rocket launching grounds in the northern Gaza Strip. Security forces conducting sweeps on Friday evening discovered the remains of two rockets near the Zikim base and Moshav Netiv Haasara. Police sappers removed the rocket debris. Sappers were also called in to remove a Kassam rocket found on Friday in the fields of Kibbutz Nir Oz in the western Negev, Army Radio reported. Since Thursday evening, no Kassams have been fired at Israel.
