Under the current circumstances, early elections are unavoidable, Welfare and Social Services Minister Isaac Herzog said Friday, referring to the ongoing investigation of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert for illicit funding.
"One needs to be a complete idiot to think that it is possible to rule like this. I don't see anything of the sort. I see a situation in which there is really no good leadership ability and it would be the right thing to do to regain our composure, examine alternatives and there need to be elections, let there be elections," Herzog told Army Radio.
