Woman suspected of drowning son deemed mentally fit to stand trial

Olga Borisov, suspected of drowning her four year old son in the Mediterranean, is mentally capable of being put to trial, a psychiatric evaluation submitted to the court on Sunday established. The remand of the mother alleged of drowning her son was extended by five days on Sunday, and by the end of the week an indictment is expected to be served, Army Radio reported. Borisov, 42, was arrested in the beginning of September on suspicions of drowning her son. She told police investigators that the boy suffered from concentration and listening problems. She said he had become a burden and that was why she killed him.
