Wounded policewoman: 'I tried to cock my weapon but then I fainted'

"I tried to cock my weapon but then I fainted", said Shoshana Samendoyev, the border policewoman who was seriously wounded in Thursday's shooting attack on the Shoafat checkpoint in east Jerusalem. Samendoyeva recreated the attack during a visit paid to her sickbed by Public Security Minister Avi Dichter. "I came to a couple of minutes later and I could feel I was being fired at, so I cocked my weapon and started firing at a vehicle I could barely see. Then I fainted again because of loss of blood." Samendoyev said she remembered trying to call out to her fellow policeman Rami Zoari, who was killed in the attack, and hearing no reply. She then crawled to the barrier just in time to see an IDF jeep arrive at the scene, before losing consciousness again.
