MK Yehiel Hazan (Likud) was expected to convene press conference at the Likud headquarters in Tel Aviv on Wednesday.
It was estimated that Hazan was to resign his candidacy for the Likud Knesset list.
Israel Radio reported that Hazan is one of the people whom Netanyahu recommended not to elect for the party.
