Police were attacked by 50-70 settlers during an attempt to arrest a suspect in the settlement of Yitzhar, police said on Monday. The attackers hurled stones at the policemen in order to prevent them from making the arrest. Two of the settlers which had participated in the attack were later arrested during a chase. Israel Police regreted the fact that even during a time where security forces were busy with protecting the citizens of Israel, settlers continued to harm security forces by breaking the law.
