Youth arrested on suspicion of robbing, wounding elderly Haifa woman

A 20-year-old, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of robbing a 68-year-old woman on Haifa's Ma'apilim Street, police said.
The young man allegedly ran up to the elderly woman and grabbed her purse. The woman was taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa for treatment.
A short time after the incident, the police succeeding in locating and subsequently arresting the suspect after he hit a police officer, who was also in need of medical attention.
