A Rabbi in Frankfurt's Jewish community was stabbed by an Arabic speaking attacker over the weekend, German police said Saturday.
The Rabbi, 42, was in the city's commercial area when a man turned to him. The rabbi asked the man what he wanted when the latter took a knife from his pocket and threatened the rabbi, in German, that he would kill him.
The rabbi was stabbed in his stomach and the attacker, along with two women who accompanied him, escaped the scene.
The rabbi made it to hospital on his own, where he was operated on. The wounds he sustained were not life threatening.
