Serbia to seek extradition of 3 WWII Nazi suspects

The world's top Nazi hunter said Serbia will seek the extradition of three World War II suspects. Efraim Zuroff, head of the Israeli branch of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, told a news conference Monday that he was helping Serbian authorities provide evidence against Peter Egner, who lives in the US; Milivoj Asner, who resides in Austria; and Sandor Kepiro, a Hungarian citizen. Egner allegedly served in a Nazi unit that killed 17,000 civilians in Serbia during World War II. Asner is wanted for World War II atrocities against Serbs, Jews and Gypsies in Croatia. Kepiro allegedly took part in a 1940s Nazi raid when some 800 Jews and 400 Serbs were killed.
