The money was transferred after the city presented the ministry with a master plan for improving disabled access around Hod Hasharon.

The Transportation Ministry has transferred NIS 630,000 to Hod Hasharon to improve accessibility for the disabled in the city, reports www.local.co.il. The funding comes as part of the ministry's project to allocate NIS 10 million per year to municipalities to improve transport infrastructure for the disabled. According to the report, the money was transferred after the city presented the ministry with a master plan for improving disabled access around Hod Hasharon. The master plan details work to be done in public buildings and service areas, including lowering the sidewalks at bus stops. The report said the city had already spent NIS 2 million over the past three years on improving accessibility for the disabled, including designating disabled parking spaces around the city, installing warning signals for the visually impaired at pedestrian crossings, and making adjustments at various schools, including installing elevators at one school.
