City plants the seed of gardening culture

Anyone who rents a plot but then neglects it will be booted out of the project.

And now a solution for all those Tel Aviv apartment-dwellers who want the pleasure of being able to do a little gardening…, the city is planning to rent out about 100 small plots of land in an unused section of Park Hadarom to residents, reports www.local.co.il. Residents can pay NIS 200 rent for a plot of 10 square meters in the "Havat Aviv" section of the park, and will be allowed to grow any legal plants they wish. Anyone who rents a plot but then neglects it will be booted out of the project, which aims to combine several worthy goals: create a gardening culture among Tel Avivians, develop the city's "green lung," and foster a sense of community.
