Police have arrested a 35-year-old Tel Aviv man on charges that he willfully damaged three cars parked on Rehov Ussishkin, including one belonging to the Egyptian embassy, reports www.local.co.il. The man, who allegedly deliberately punctured the tires and scratched the vehicles, told police he had done so because he was angry that the cars had been parked illegally in a red-and-white zone. But police did not think seeing red (and white) was a valid excuse for acting outside the law, and the man is expected to face charges in court.
