18 killed, 60 wounded in Mosul car bomb

18 people were killed Thursday when a car bomb exploded near the government office in the northern city of Mosul, officials said. The governor of surrounding Nineveh province, Duraid Kashmola, said about 60 others were wounded in the blast. Kashmola was inspecting damage from a rocket that landed in the area when the bomb went off but he was unhurt.
