40 Fatah security members flee Gaza for Egypt

Forty members of the Palestinian Authority Preventive Security Force crossed the Gaza border on Wednesday afternoon, seeking refuge in Egypt. Al-Jazeera reported that the members of the security force, which is loyal to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah, left the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing violence. Reportedly, hundreds more Palestinians were planning to flee the Strip for Egypt.
