A German journalist and two Afghans accompanying him were kidnapped by Taliban militants in eastern Afghanistan on Wednesday, a governor said. The journalist, who was not identified, was abducted by militants inside a house in Kunar province's Watapur district, said Dedar Shalezai, the provincial governor. Germany said it is investigating claims a German journalist may have been abducted, and a German magazine said one of its reporters might be missing.
