Al-Qaida prisoners in Jordan launch hunger strike

A group of some 40 prisoners incarcerated in Jordan have launched a hunger strike on Saturday in protest of their conditions in jail. One of the strikers' leader was Azmi Jerusi, an associate of Abu Musab Zarqawi who was the head of al-Qaida in Iraq until he was killed by American forces in Iraq. The other protestors were also associated with al-Qaida.
