The State Department said Monday an American detained in Egypt as a suspected terrorist is expected to be released and given permission to leave the country. Egyptian authorities have been questioning the man about alleged links to a terror organization that recruits Muslims to fight Americans in Iraq. A French citizen also is being questioned. State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said, "Our expectation is that he will be released and that he will be able to leave Egypt."
