AMMAN, Jordan — Jordan urged the US to come up with a new formula for restarting Palestinian-Israeli negotiations on Sunday.
Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh said that although Washington abandoned its effort for a West Bank settlement freeze, US officials were still trying to get the peace process moving forward.

Judeh declined to provide details and spoke in a joint press conference Sunday with visiting Australian Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd.
Rudd said settlement activity "must cease" because it "undermines the effectiveness of the peace process."
The Palestinians won't resume negotiations without a full construction freeze.
The US now wants to return to indirect talks.
