Syrian President Bashar Assad met US Senator Dennis Kucinich (D), Sunday, the Syrian news agency SANA reported. According to the report, Syria's leader discussed regional issues and American-Syrian relations Senator Kucinich pointed out Syria's "pivotal role in bolstering security and stability in the region," SANA reported. On Saturday, Assad received the former MK Dr. Azmi Bishara for talks on the situation in the region and the "national intellectual issues," SANA reported.
