Syrian President Bashar Assad will head to Cairo on Thursday to meet his Egyptian counterpart Hosni Mubarak. According to al-Mustakbal, the two leaders will discuss the Mehlis report on the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri. The UN Security Council, meanwhile, is expected on Thursday to extend the probe by another six months.
