Britain's ME minister hails loosening of restrictions in West Bank

Britain's Minister for the Middle East Kim Howells on Tuesday welcomed Defense Minister Ehud Barak's announcement that there will be improved movement and access for West Bank Palestinians. "I welcome Defense Minister Barak's announcement that there will be improved movement and access inside the West Bank. This demonstrates the importance of the ongoing discussions at a high level between the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli Government," read statement released by Howells. Howells stressed the importance of Barak's commitment translating into real progress on the ground. He said illegal outposts must be removed, and settlement construction halted. Howells added that Palestinian terrorists must immediately cease all rocket fire on Israeli communities.
