A Canadian woman was killed Friday in a car accident on Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, a medical official said.
The 26-year-old woman was riding with a Jordanian man on the way to Egypt's capital, Cairo, when their car overturned in Sadr el-Hitan, an area in central Sinai, said Imad Kharboush, head of the emergency unit at el-Arish hospital.
The Canadian woman died before the ambulance arrived at the site of the accident, and the Jordanian was seriously wounded, Kharboush said.
