A car bomb exploded near an Iraqi army checkpoint in Baghdad on Tuesday, killing at least four people and sending smoke billowing into the sky, officials said.
The car was parked near a gas station across the street from the checkpoint on Saadoun Street when it exploded just before noon, according to police and army officials, who also said at least 18 people were wounded, including 13 civilians.
