An EU delegation will travel to the Middle East on Sunday to appeal for an end to fighting in Gaza.
The Czech Foreign Ministry said Friday the high-level delegation plans to visit Egypt, Israel, the Palestinian territories and Jordan during the three-day trip.
The group will include EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana and foreign ministers from France, Sweden and the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic currently holds the rotating six-month presidency of the 27-nation bloc.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy is set to travel to the Middle East separately next week.
