European Union foreign ministers agreed Tuesday morning to launch both a three-year mission to train Palestinian Authority police forces and another mission to monitor the Rafah border crossing.
According to EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana, the two missions symbolized the greatest security presence ever undertaken by the EU in the region, Israel Radio reported.
