Egypt reportedly bans Brotherhood head from travel

The leader of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood said Tuesday the government has banned him from traveling to Saudi Arabia for Islamic rituals.
"Last year they said they won't allow me to travel, then they let me go; this year, they promised to let me travel, but then banned me. It's nonsense," Mohammed Mahdi Akef told The Associated Press.
Interior Ministry officials declined to comment.
The group issued a statement describing the travel ban as "confiscation of citizens' right to travel, move, and worship."
