Egypt's Foreign Minister Ahmad Abdul-Rite criticized Israel's offensive against Lebanon in a televised interview on Friday evening. "We warned Israel that we were against war in Lebanon, and that an offensive would affect Egyptian-Israeli relations," Abdul-Rite said. "We were well aware of the mass amounts of wounded and the magnitude of damages caused. We were also aware of Israeli stupidity and Hizbullah's mistakes," the foreign minister added.
