Expert on Syria: Assad's peace overtures are real

Patrick Seale, a British journalist considered a close associate of the Syrian regime, said on Sunday that Bashar Assad's peace overtures are genuine, Israel Radio reported. According to Seale, Assad fears the Middle East will deteriorate to a state of Anarchy and he would attempt to prevent this by continuing the peace talks with Israel at the point they were left off when Ehud Barak was acting as Israel's Prime Minister.
