Hamas, Fatah to present unity gov't to parliament

The rival Hamas and Fatah factions will present a national unity government to parliament on Saturday for approval, representatives of both groups said Wednesday. Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas and Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah have asked to convene a parliament session on Saturday for this purpose, said Abde Qader Abulnour, chief of staff for Deputy Parliament Speaker Ahmed Bahar. Abbas aides confirmed the information.
