Syria-based Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal is scheduled to arrive in Teheran on Tuesday for talks with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Arab news agencies reported Monday. According to the reports, the three will discuss recent developments in the region and progress towards the formation of a Palestinian unity government between Hamas and rival faction Fatah, led by Palestinian Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
