Golani Brigade troops opened fire Thursday afternoon at two members of the Islamic Jihad's Al Quds Brigades who were in the act of placing a bomb near the Gaza Strip security fence, killing one. The army said the second man was arrested and transferred to security forces for interrogation. Overnight Wednesday, IDF soldiers killed two members of Hamas's armed wing, Izzadin a-Kassam, the organization reported. The IDF said that troops opened fire on a group of gunmen near the border fence and had identified a hit. Also Thursday morning, two Kassam rockets fired from Gaza landed in open territory in the western Negev. No one was wounded and no damage was reported. On Wednesday, IAF planes struck a Kassam rocket cell in northern Gaza, moments after it had succeeded in launching two rockets into Israeli territory. Two of the three operatives were killed, the IDF said. In the West Bank, IDF troops arrested four Palestinian terror suspects overnight Wednesday. Two of the detainees were arrested in Jenin, one in Kaladiya and the other was nabbed in Jaba, southeast of Ramallah. All of the suspects were transferred to security forces for interrogation.
