Iraq: Bomb kills US soldier, wounds another

A roadside bomb killed one US soldier and wounded another Sunday west of Baghdad, the military said. The blast occurred as the Multi-National Division, Baghdad patrol was finishing its early morning security mission west of the capital, leaving one soldier dead and another wounded, according to a statement. The soldiers weren't identified pending notification of relatives. The death raised to 43 the number of troops who have died this month. At least 2,931 members of the US military have died since the war started in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
