A US Marine and an Army soldier were killed in separate attacks in Anbar province of western Iraq, the US military said Friday. Both attacks occurred on Wednesday, the command said. No further details were released. The deaths bring the American death toll to at least 79 this month, one more than the July total, which was the lowest for the year.
