Iraq: Suicide bomber kills 25 west of Baghdad

Iraqi police and hospital officials say at least 25 people have been killed and 29 wounded in a suicide bombing on the western outskirts of Baghdad. The officials say the attacker detonated his explosives inside a tent as people were gathered to celebrate the release of a former detainee from the US detention center Camp Bucca. The casualty toll from Sunday's attack was given by police and confirmed by Yassir al-Jumaili, a doctor at the Fallujah hospital where many of the wounded were taken.
