Three American soldiers have been killed in combat operations in the western province of Anbar, the US military said Friday. The three were killed Thursday, the US said without giving further details. It was unclear if they died in separate incidents. Anbar is a center of the Sunni insurgency and fight continues there despite the attention focused on the Sunni-Shiite sectarian conflict in Baghdad.
