The Lebanese army said on Tuesday that a terror cell apprehended in the South of the country on Monday night included Palestinians associated with Islamic extremist groups, Israel Radio reported. The detainees were arrested after it was discovered that they were following the movements of UNIFIL troops. The fighters placed a bomb near Tyre, close to a UN patrol, but it failed to explode due to a technical error. The army did not say how many were arrested in the operation, but local media said seven had been detained.
