“My number one priority is what [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu is doing vis-a-vis Iran,” said Lebanese journalist Nadim Koteich.
In an interview aired April 6 on Lebanon’s Al-Jadeed/New TV, Koteich explained that he considers Iran to be playing a destructive role in the region, including in Lebanon.
“Netanyahu’s anti-Iranian policy is welcomed warmly by the Arabs in the region, despite the other differences they have with him,” he said. “It is no longer black and white.”
He said that as a Lebanese citizen, he would prioritize Beirut over the Golan Heights, the Palestinians, or any other piece of land or people.
“I am a Lebanese citizen, and under no circumstances am I willing to pay the price for the Golan Heights or for Jerusalem,”  Koteich said. “Jerusalem is not more important than Beirut. The Golan is not more important than Beirut.”
The video was translated from Arabic into English by the Middle East Media Research Institute. During this interview, Koteich also said that he supports US President Donald Trump’s foreign policy efforts.
