Lebanon: IAF jets fly over Beirut, eastern Lebanon
By JERUSALEM POST STAFF
IAF warplanes flew over Beirut and parts of eastern and central Lebanon on Wednesday, a senior military official said.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to make statements to the media, said the Lebanese army would issue a statement about the Israeli overflights later Wednesday.
Since a UN-brokered cease-fire ended fighting between Israel and Hezbollah on Aug. 14, Israeli jets and drones have routinely flown over southern and eastern Lebanon, where Hizbullah has strongholds, apparently on reconnaissance flights.
